Grace Harris is our student of the week for the last week in January. Grace works very hard inside and outside of school while maintaining a great attitude. Grace is always concerned about her work and performing to the best of her ability. Every day after school, she goes to work for several hours, but still manages to get her work done. Grace is an outstanding individual.

The Elementary School Family event for January challenged students to be inventive and create a snowball launcher. Whose invention would launch the longest distance?











HOSA, Boyer Valley’s Future Healthcare Organization, conducted their 1st monthly Blood Pressure Clinic. Mrs. Stephens was the lucky drawing winner for having a healthy blood pressure. A huge thank you to Loren Terwillegar and Mollie Cogdill (absent from picture) for making the Blood Pressure Clinic a success!! Next Blood Pressure Clinic February 26th, 7:30 - 8:00am at BVN and 3:30 - 4:00pm at BVS.

Zayn Groves, 5th grader at Boyer Valley, won first place in his division at regional basketball skills with Special Olympics today! He will be going to state-along with Angel Arroyo-who also got first place in his division!



Calling all 3rd - 12th grade softball players - Boyer Valley is holding a skills camp on March 1st. Registration forms will be sent home with Elementary students, MS/HS girls can stop by the office to pick one up. Sign up today! Ms. Brown's 2nd grade class read a story about cultures, traditions, & food this week for literacy. In the back of the story, there was a salsa recipe. The class practiced reading a recipe and putting ingredients together to make the salsa. Most of the kids liked it and said they would eat it again!



Our student of the week is Ali Butler. Ali was recognized for working hard in her classes, being kind to peers, and for her work in student council. Great job, Ali.

The JH girls basketball game vs CRB has been rescheduled to Monday 1/27. It will be 6 quarters starting at 4:00 in Dow City.

Bound is incorrect for tonight's games at Woodbine. There is not JV girls today, JV Boys will play at 4:15 followed by the two varsity games.


2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students had fun with Indy cars and Spheros during their Computer Science time this week.











MARK YOUR CALENDARS! There will be a meeting on Jan. 30th at 6:30 p.m. for high school girls, and their parents, interested in playing softball. Youth coaches, parents and players are also welcome to attend!


5th grade gingerbread houses FOR SALE. 5th grade worked in small groups to design and construct their gingerbread houses. The students worked on writing detailed descriptions with an emphasis on using adjectives.
The students did a great job and had a lot of fun with it.











The JH girls BB game vs ArWeVa scheduled for today has been cancelled due to ArWeVa not having school. This game will not be rescheduled.
