WE ARE BACK! Teammates of Boyer Valley are so excited to start this year off. We'd like to do that by sharing a few quotes from mentee surveys this past May. Free athletic event pass QR codes will be sent to 6-12 student emails and K-5 parent emails by the end of the week. Make sure to check your email for them! Reminder that K-5 students must be accompanied by an adult to be admitted. Thanks again to our sponsors!!

Reminder that open house is tonight 8/20 at both buildings from 6:00 to 7:30. 6th Graders will have an orientation meeting at 6:30 in Dunlap. Also JH fall sports practice begins tomorrow. JH Volleyball @ 2:45 in Dunlap, JH Football @ 3:00, and JH Cross Country @ 3:45.

Attention seniors! If you are interested in painting a parking spot in front of the school, please contact Student Council President Maria Puck by Tuesday evening. All designs will need to be approved by Mr. Schauer before painting can begin.

The Boyer Valley School District believes children who eat breakfast have increased alertness and improved moods throughout the morning, making for a better learning experience in the classroom. With this in mind, the Boyer Valley Board has decided to serve free breakfast to ALL Boyer Valley students this school year.

The Boyer Valley School District sent out direct certification letters to families who were directly certified for free or reduced meals for the 2024-2025 school year. If you did not receive a letter and feel you may qualify for free or reduced priced school meals, please go to boyervalley.org and review the information under the "Food Service" section. Mr. Conover (our new professional school counselor) will be out of office until Monday, August 19th. Schedules will NOT be changed in PowerSchool until the first day of classes. Students wishing to discuss their schedules may email Mr. Conover with questions (cconover@boyervalley.org). Iowa Western classes begin on Monday, August 19th. Please make sure you have logged in before this date. If you have any questions or issues with your course, contact Mr. Conover immediately. The drop date for online IWCC courses is September 2nd.

For students enrolled in IWCC courses for the fall semester. Today at 2 pm, IWCC representatives will be on site to help students ensure all students can log in and access the materials for the courses that start next Monday. The meeting will take place in the HS Lunchroom.

There will be basketball open gym this Sunday from 6:00-7:00 PM for boys and girls.

Join us on Tuesday, August 20th from 6:00-7:30pm for our Open House night! Both the Dunlap and Dow City buildings will be open for families to drop off their school supplies and meet their new teachers. 6th Grade Orientation will also take place on this night at 6:30pm. They will meet in the MS/HS Commons.

Don't forget to register your student for school! New to the district students should complete a pre-registration form at http://bit.ly/boyervalleypreregistration. DO NOT COMPLETE THIS IF YOUR STUDENT ATTENDED BOYER VALLEY LAST YEAR. Returning families can complete registration online through their PowerSchool account. There will be no in-person registration at the school this year. All issues regarding PowerSchool should be sent to powerschool@boyervalley.org
